According to Directive 2014/45/EC:
- Motor vehicles which are designed and built primarily for the transport of passengers and their luggage and have up to eight seats in addition to the drivers seat - vehicle category M1.
- Motor vehicles which have been designed and built primarily for the transport of goods and have a maximum mass of up to 3.5 tons - vehicle category N1.
- Two-wheeled vehicles (motorcycles) category L3E of independent engine displacement.
