The technical inspection of two-wheeled vehicles is mandatory and must be carried out every 4 years from the date of the first registration (initial inspection) and every 2 years from the date of the previous technical inspection (periodic inspection).

Educational bicycles are inspected every 1 year from the date of the first registration (initial inspection) and every 1 year from the date of the previous technical inspection (periodic inspection).

* Mopeds (up to 50 cubic meters) are not required to pass a technical inspection.
The fines for overdue technical inspection of vehicles are determined according to Y.A. 8913/1089 Official Gazette 501B 05.03.2013.

Stages of technical control

With a phone call you schedule your appointment at IKTEO, on the day and time you wish.

You come to IKTEO at the appointment time

Submit the necessary supporting documents for processing

Wait in the comfortable waiting area until the check is complete

The inspector informs you of the result of the inspection and delivers you the Technical Inspection Report with supporting documents

The inspector affixes the Special Mark of Conformity to the license plate and… you are done.

Exhaust gas inspection – Visual inspection

They are checked:

-The vehicle details (Registration plate, chassis number, engine number according to the registration license)

-The vehicle externally (visually)

-The fumes

Check in the automatic line

They are checked:

-Brake performance

-Handbrake performance (if applicable)

-Lights in terms of their intensity and inclination – General Operation

Visual inspection on a lifting platform

Checking status:

-The steering system (steering wheel, handlebars, forks)

-The frame - the components - the equipment

-Of axles-wheels-tires-suspension

-The drive system

-The braking system (hand levers-foot levers, discs-drums, flexible-rigid piping)

The level of emitted noise is measured

The inspection is completed with the issuance of the Technical Inspection Report and the affixing of the special mark on the vehicle s license plate.
